Coronavirus COVID–19

Information relating specifically to our school.

23rd March Our school is now closed. Most children are to stay at home and use our online "virtual school" resources.
Our school site is now an Emergency Care Facility only, for children of key workers who cannot make safer alternative arrangements.

18th March 4pm We have been given additional support from the Local Authority, so the deep clean of school will be finished tonight. On Local Authority advice, we will be able to open tomorrow and Friday for those who are able to send their children to school.

18th March In the eventuality of widespread school closures, St Helens Local Authority have asked us to collate some information. It would be helpful if parents could email school with details if they;
· Work in the NHS
· Work in the emergency services
· Work in the care profession
· Work as a teacher within St Helens LA

18th March Due to a number of children sent home with symptoms of the coronavirus on Wednesday, the school is closed for deep cleaning. At least one of those children may have been in contact with a confirmed case of Covid 19.
We are planning to reopen on Monday 23rd March. Packs of work will be available from the school hall door between 1pm and 5pm.
Parents who are unable to collect work should make arrangements with friends and neighbours, if possible.
We apologise for the short notice. This is an unprecedented situation. The safety and health of everyone are our top priority.

13th March School is open, as usual, on Monday. Latest advice says that anyone who now develops a continuous cough or high temperature should remain at home for seven days. Parents should ring the school office if children are ill with either of these symptoms and keep them at home. Parents of children with health conditions, who wish to discuss limiting social contact or self- isolation, should ring school to make an appointment with the Headteacher or Safeguarding Lead, to discuss options available.

28th February We are currently planning to run all clubs, lessons, booster classes and trips as normal next week, based upon our latest advice.  However, the local advice that we receive is being updated constantly as the national situation changes.
