Sacramental Preparation

At St. Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary, we support our families as they prepare their children for the Sacraments through the parish's programme of family catechesis.

Jesus spoke to them… "and know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time." (Matthew 28:20)

Parents "…will be the first teachers of their children in the ways of faith. May they also be the best of teachers bearing witness to the faith by what they say and do…" (Rite of Baptism)

Sacramental preparation is the responsibility of the parish, and sessions are led by the Catechists of Holy Cross and St Helen Parish. Sessions take place on set dates after Sunday Mass in the parish church, and school works in partnership with the parish to support families throughout this journey of faith.
